ENRICH

ENhancing Reading through Identity and Cultural Heritage

1,701 or 100% of children in primary school level (Kindergarten to Grade 6) promoted to the next grade year level

PARTNERSHIP BUILDING

  • Linkages Building and Coordination with local partners from Dep-Ed and LGUs and to support the project strengthened.
  • Stronger collaboration with DepEd for education related interventions.
  • Approval of Annual Status Education Report (ASER) Tool to be used in assessing Reading & Numeracy level of school children.
  • Two (2) story books, utilized and benefitting 8,000 children from 19 covered schools and 13 additional schools from General Nakar District.

Reina Federation has been recognized by the Dep-Ed, Division of Quezon through GAWAD KAAGAPAY Award. This is in consonance with the implementation of DepEd Order No. 2, s. 2013 commonly known as the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 8525 or the Adopt-a-School Program Act, A Salute to Partnerships, to recognize the valuable contributions of Stakeholder Partners  Reina Federation being one of the partners in the EDUKALIDAD of Dep-Ed Quezon supported the REINA District through skills competencies training for teachers and children ,  provision  of materials for modules and skill books to improve the reading and numeracy skills of children and continuously advocating Child Protection.

“I only finished grade 6. We have six children and I try to understand what my children are learning. I just guide them and I am thankful because my oldest son helps me teach his siblings. I am also learning. I really wanted to attend such activities, this Parenting Education Session because I learned a lot. The learning I gained will help improve my relationship with my family.”

CAPACITY BUILDING

  • 54 teachers (54 females) actively participated in developing Enrichment Activities and improved children learning acquisition
  • 50 peer mentors (34 females/ 12 males) developed and organized and took part in the regular conduct of peer tutoring sessions.
  • 697 caregivers (4 males and 693 females) demonstrated positive behavior on proper child-rearing through Parenting Education Sessions.
  • 20 parent facilitators and 5 focal teachers shared their learned skills and knowledge on Parenting Sessions.

CHILD PROTECTION

  • 25 teachers and PTAs were capacitated resulting in a resilient plan and program development for children’s learning continuity.
  • 25 teachers and Barangay officials capacitated on Dep-Ed Order no. 40; Child Protection Policy resulted to have a functional school-based Child Protection Committees.
  • 1,297 ,6-14 enrolled children participated in an Annual celebration of Children`s Month focused on championing Children`s Rights and Welfare in the New Normal.

ENRICH program are greatly contributed for the child growth, improve reading and numeracy especially in this time of pandemic. They acknowledge the activities for teachers and PTA’s on how they promote a resilient planning and program development for children’s learning and ensure the CP issues and risks addressed and mitigated.A Reflective Supervision was conducted on all the Parent Facilitators and Teachers who became part of a 6- month School Based-Parenting Session. The concluded Parenting sessions have become successful as we gathered insights/ learnings from the parents and caregivers. All the skills and knowledge they have learned from the training were translated into action.
