Empowering Primary Learners & Safeguarding Classrooms
SAFE to Learn: Sustaining Access for Equitable Basic Education Across Real, Infanta, General Nakar, and Burdeos Island
In the coastal villages of Real, the riverfront communities of Infanta, the mountain settlements of General Nakar, and the surrounding island barangays of Burdeos, the transition into primary school marks a crucial turning point. As children step into elementary classrooms and advance toward junior high school, acquiring solid reading, math, and social-emotional competencies becomes the foundation for their future success.
ReINa Federation of Parents Associations, Inc. partners with ChildFund Philippines, DepEd Division of Quezon, school heads, and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) through our flagship SAFE to Learn and ENRICH programs.

🎥 Educator Voice & Practice Highlights
Sustaining Peer Tutoring Best Practices
“Peer tutoring empowers students to learn from one another, making learning engaging, collaborative, and meaningful. It helps learners better understand lessons, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. Student tutors, in turn, strengthen their leadership, communication skills, and sense of responsibility while helping their peers succeed.”
First introduced in 2012 by ReINa Federation of Parents Association, Inc. in partnership with ChildFund Philippines, peer tutoring at Agos Agos Elementary School has consistently improved pupils’ reading skills and significantly reduced struggling readers over the years.
💬 Community Stories & Voice
“I only finished grade 6. We have six children and I try to understand what my children are learning. I just guide them and I am thankful because my oldest son helps me teach his siblings. I am also learning! I really wanted to attend ReINa’s Parenting Education Sessions because I learned a lot that helped me improve my relationship with my family.”
